Treasure in the heart of the Alps
The Chablais Vaudois begins at the very tip of Lake Geneva, in Villeneuve, and extends to the foot of the Vaud Alps. The lake, mines, vineyards, mountains, towns and villages make up the particularly diverse contours of Eastern Vaud. These different regions can be explored through visits, walks and numerous activities.

The SEL DES ALPES: a thousand-year-old treasure
The history of Swiss salt has its origins in the Chablais region. Legend has it that salt springs were discovered near Ollon as early as the 15th century, it was not until 1554 that the first salt mines were built, and the first galleries of the Bex Salt Mines were dug to reach the heart of the salt mountain at the end of the 17th century.
