In addition to truffles, excellent wines and beers are produced in the Bonvillars region. Bonvillars AOC wines come in a variety of colors. They deliciously reflect the mineral character of their terroir. On top of this, several (micro)breweries have sprung up in various parts of northern Vaud.
The Bonvillars vineyards stretch over 180 hectares, from Montagny-près-Yverdon to Concise, passing through numerous towns and villages – including Bonvillars.
The region’s limestone and gravelly rock – so favored by truffles – is also perfectly suited to the Pinot Noir, Gamay and Chasselas grape varieties, which produce magnificently mineral wines. Reds, rosés, and whites will delight even the most discerning palate!
WHERE TO ENJOY THEM?
Bonvillars wines can be found in many of the region’s restaurants and are the perfect accompaniment to any menu (with or without truffles). But the best way to discover these wines is to meet the various Bonvillars winemakers by visiting their estates and tasting their wines!
These wines are also available for sale in their online shops, in specialist retailers, and in several supermarkets in the region.

Bonvillars winegrowers take part in several festive events throughout the year: the Caves Ouvertes Vaudoises in June and September (a gourmet walk at the end of August), and Vins en Fête in early December. Don’t miss out on these tastings and get-togethers!
In addition to Bière du Boxer the largest “small Swiss brewery” in Yverdon-les-Bains, a number of other microbreweries have sprung up in northern Vaud. Their beers are diverse and daring.
This is the case of Brasserie artisanale de Giez (b.a.g) not far from Bonvillars, which has been producing craft beers since 2015. Some fifteen different beers are brewed using products from the region. What’s more, the brewery even makes 100% bespoke beers for customers who know what they want!
La bière d’alpage is a collaboration between the b.a.g and the ADNV. This white beer is only sold in local alpine chalets – at altitudes of over 1000m. You really have to earn a beer like this!
